When I studied abroad in 2020, someone told me I needed “universal adapters.”
What I knew that most countries don’t use the same plug shape — but a lot of so-called “universal” adapters don’t actually fit every outlet.
I grabbed a set of these Ceptics travel plug adapters, tossed them in my backpack, and honestly didn’t think about them again… until I needed them. Now they live permanently in my travel pouch.
Here’s why they became one of my most-used travel items:
- They just work. No buzzing, no loose connection, no struggling to plug in chargers.
- They’re tiny and lightweight — easy to pack and don’t take up room.
- You can plug in multiple devices at once.
- I still use the same original ones years later.
If you’re planning a trip to South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, or anywhere that uses Type M outlets, this is one of those travel things you don’t think about…
until you desperately wish you had it.
